Cameron Seafoods was started by Rodger Cameron, a fisherman from Port Hood Island, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  ​Mr Cameron’s father, grandfather, and great grandfather, were all fishermen. 

In 1992, the company was incorporated to purchase lobsters from other fishermen and to market all the lobsters caught by Mr Cameron himself.

In 1995 the company expanded to begin sending lobsters by air to various countries in the world.  Through various additions and acquisitions,  Cameron Seafoods has grown its sales to 20 M$ in 2017.

Mr Cameron is still active in the business and the company has many fine employees who have remained hard working and loyal to the company since it began.

Lobsters are graded by hand, One by One, for size, quality, and liveliness.  They are packed One by One, as the quality is checked yet again during packing.
